The Schuster Girls (And Dada)
The idea for The Playground grew out of the homes of 2 Midland-area families who found a real need to get their Littles out of the house when winter drags on for 9 months (seems accurate, right?), monsoons flood our basements, temper tantrums run rampant (Your ice cream is too cold? My apologies), and sibling fights reach new levels.
Between us, we have 6 kids, 7 and under. Often, we are “that” Mom juggling a screaming toddler, a spilled juice box, and a baby with a blowout. When our soccer-van door slides open, we are never exactly sure what (or who) will fall out. We love the idea of staying home with our kids, but we venture out on play dates to the Library, the park, Dow Gardens, to regain a small amount of sanity. In our desperate attempts to communicate with someone whose butt we haven’t wiped, we tend to overshare with random Moms on these play dates about our kid’s recent poop on the potty, nose-picking (and eating) habits, and inability to sleep in their own bed (or at all). The struggle is REAL.
Despite the chaos and lack of sleep, an idea was born! Lucky for us, we have 2 supportive husbands who were able to see through our Crazy, and make our dream a reality. They’ve worked tirelessly to create a haven for all of you who also play the role of “that” parent sometimes. We are SO excited to hear YOUR over share at The Playground!
